### Course Description

This course covers real analysis at the beginning graduate level. Topics include a rigorous development of the concepts of differentiation and its applications; the Riemann integral, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, series, and sequences and series of functions.

### Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

- Explain the fundamental concepts of analysis and their role in the rigorous development of Calculus
- Demonstrate accurate and efficient use of proof techniques in proving theorems in real analysis
- Decide whether a given statement from analysis is true or false and provide a proof or a counterexample as appropriate.
